Face Mask Protocol Update (June 27, 2021) and End of Surge

Beginning 3rd shift (Sunday night into Monday morning) we return to Non-Surge hours,

ALSO …Face mask protocols have been updated based on CDC guidelines

In alignment with new CDC guidelines, beginning June 28 (beginning at start of 3rd shift, Sunday into Monday), employees who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 will not be required to wear a face mask while onsite at an H-D facility.

According to the CDC, people are considered fully vaccinated:

  • 2 weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or
  • 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine

If you do not meet these requirements, you are not considered fully vaccinated and should continue wearing a mask while inside an H-D facility. Employees will not be required to show proof that they have been vaccinated.

While vaccinations are encouraged, being vaccinated is a choice and as this change is made it’s expected that employees adhere to FHPC principles and respect people’s privacy about vaccination choices. As a reminder, it’s up to every employee to keep their wellbeing – and the wellbeing of others around them – a priority.

Other COVID-19 protocols and processes remain unchanged at this time
While the face mask requirement will change, other COVID-19 protocols and processes (e.g. social distancing, extensive facility cleaning, conference room capacity and travel restrictions) will remain in place for the time being as we continue to review them. Continued monitoring
Leaders will continue to monitor and assess positive COVID-19 cases, local, state and country guidance, and the CDC criteria required to ease restrictions while ensuring the health and safety of all employees. This means that mask requirement protocols could change at any time.

Self-report vaccinations
Another factor that will be considered as we assess easing COVID-19 protocols will be the percentage of our employee population who are vaccinated.
